2020 Toyota Tacoma vs 2020 Chevrolet Colorado

Serving Enid, OK

The 2020 Toyota Tacoma is a midsize truck which is ranked above its competitor, the 2020 Chevrolet Colorado. Of the two trucks, the Toyota Tacoma excels in several key categories, including its durable off-road design, its smooth ride quality, and a delightful interior that offers the conveniences of an SUV. The 2020 Chevrolet Colorado, in comparison to the Toyota Tacoma, has a more basic interior that doesn't have the degree of modern amenities, safety, and technology that the Toyota Tacoma offers. The Toyota Tacoma also surpasses the Chevrolet Colorado in style thanks to cutting-edge features such as contemporary LED lighting.

Interior

While many people need a truck to get them through the workday or through a weekend road trip, having a comfortable truck to get through the day is much better. The 2020 Toyota Tacoma is designed to make your day more comfortable and enjoyable, whether you are traveling in the truck for work or adventure. Onboard WiFi comes standard in the Toyota Tacoma, which is a standard amenity found on few vehicles, let alone a truck. While cloth seats are standard on the base trim, you can get leather seats on the higher-end trims. A large infotainment display screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay is also standard on the Toyota. You also get a package of driver-assist aids such as lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control. Advanced safety aids are only available on the Chevrolet Colorado through packages, and you don't get standard WiFi.

Performance & Handling

The 2020 Toyota Tacoma has the smooth driving quality that you'd expect from a passenger vehicle. The Tacoma features either Blistein or Fox shocks to help the truck ride over uneven terrain without bouncing and rolling. The Tacoma also gets all-terrain tires and an adaptive suspension system for seamless off-road driving. The Colorado, on the other hand, has a less forgiving suspension system that makes for a less comfortable ride. The Colorado also does not include standard shocks for off-road driving. If you want different shocks, you have to add them on through packages.

Style

Style is another strength of the 2020 Toyota Tacoma. The Tacoma is available with either an extended cab, which is just over six feet, or a double cab design with a five-foot bed. The base Tacoma comes with 16-inch steel wheels and automatic high beams. You can get unique exterior elements through different trims, including the TRD Sport, which has larger 17-inch alloy wheels, and the TRD Off-Road. The Colorado only offers unique exterior accents such as off-road tires through packages, and there are no off-road variants.
